What is the fastest way to lose weight at a gym?

Which machines offer the best toning and fat burning? And for how long and what resistance should i use for those machines?
Because ive only been using the treadmil with 2.5 incline for about 25 minutes and a cross training machine for 30 minutes on almost no resistance at a medium pace.
