I want to know what the fastest way (w/o surgery) to lose weight was.like what diet or w/e?
emilyheather9 asked:
I’m 13 and I’m over-weight and a little on the….lazy side. I’m not very energetic or anything so I gain weight easily and I eat when I’m depressed (which is a lot of the time because I lost my mom when I was 9 and the past summer I lost my sister and unborn nephew in a car accident so I get depressed easily and often). I just want to lose weight fast w/o surgery or complete starvation like which diets work best? Which exercise machines work best and how long do you have to spend on them? Thanx!

1-Don’t drink water or any thing else while you eat .
2- after lunch or dinner ; wait at least two ours before you eat something else .
3- use your legs ; you loose weigt and become strong .
4- if you can do that ; then you can eat what you want .
Summary:
1. See doctor about depression
2. Cut back on sugar drinks, switch to diet
3. Add calcium rich food to your diet
4. Eat whole grain breads and pasta
5. Eat slowly and eat meals as opposed to junk food
If you are eating due to depression, try to stop that first. See your family physician and tell him / her you are depressed. Deperssion tends to make us not care about our health or appearance. You will also find more motivation to lose weight if you are not depressed.
Second, cut down on sugar drinks; go for diet versions instead. After a month of drinking diet soda, you ill not only like it, but you will also probably prefer it to regular soda. Just ask anyone who is a regular diet soda drinker.
Cutting back on sugar drinks alone will probably show some results in weigh loss.
Another helpsul thing to do is to consume skim (or reduced fat) milk or yogurt. Calcium in the diet helps with weight loss. One study told participants simply to add 2 cups of yogurt a day to their diets, and they found this alone contributed to more weight loss in a year’s time as compared with the control group. Do not down a botle of calcium pills, though.
Try to eat whole grain, high fiber foods, and try to get light versions of food where possible. Your blood sugar will not spike as fast, and you will feel more full. Try to eat slowly, also; this will help you eat less.
Try to eat smaller meals more often and meals that have fat, protein, and some carbs. Candy (or chocolate) tends not to be as satiating as an actual meal.
Lastly, take a multivitamin to make sure you are getting itamins and minerals.
well- assuming that this question is for real:
there are few things that I would recommend you to do.
1.you must decide that this is what you want to do- by that I mean that this is not a game that you are going to play, this you deciding that you want to get better and show the world and to yourself that you can do that. this is not a period that you will need to go through and then get back you whatever you are doing today. This is a way of life that you would like to start practicing. Only after you have decided that this is what you want to do you can continue to the next steps.
2.you need to get help. Dealing with a lost of loved ones is very very hard. Add to that that you are a teenager and you get a tough situation that you need to deal with. You should not be a shame- everybody needs help. Most of us just don’t admit it.
So seek for help- can you talk to you dad? Can you talk to the social worker at school? Do you have a friend that you can trust and share what you are feeling?
This is a very important step.
3.the best way to loose weight is by monitoring what you eat and drink during the day. The first step will be, without changing anything from what you are currently eating, get a small diary and write everything that you eat and drink during 24 hours. Then go to the link below and find the calorie calculator (http://www.healthyweightforum.org/eng/calorie-counter/) and check how much calories you eat. This will put you in a perspective. I would say that a kid your age should not eat more the 2,500 calories (and I’m being nice to you- meaning that you need less then that).
4.now the next step will be to start lowering you consumption. Open a calendar and mark at the beginning of each week 200 calories less per day then what was last week. Meaning that if you found out that you eat 4,000 calories a day (and I hope you are not), then next week you should have 3,800 each day. It is important that you don’t try to lower it faster- it will make it much harder on you and it is also harder to maintain for long time. Slow is good- this is how we educate our mind and adjusting the body to the new way of living.
5.You should start eating 5-6 meals a day- not 1 or 2 or 20.
Breakfast around 7:00am
something light around 10:00am
lunch around 12:00pm-1:00pm
something light around 4:00pm
Dinner at 7:00pm
6.eat slowly – lunch and dinner should take at least 30-50 minutes- if you eat slowly you let you brain time to “update” the “I’m hungry” feeling to a “I’m full” feeling.
7.Drink a lot of water- lots of good in this one. It will help digesting the food; will help you feel full and not starving.
8.You also must to some exercise- start by walking fast for 30 minutes and increase that in time. Try to get into any sport team and practice with them. It is going to be hard at the beginning, so don’t start with full throttle, but you have to start at some point.
I wish you good luck
